Desktop Map

Desktop Map is a Cloud Workspace view of what MiniMouseMacro has observed about a linked desktop. It helps you inspect monitors, windows, regions, screenshots, anchors, and other desktop context that can support automation.

What it helps with

  • Understanding the current linked desktop layout.
  • Reviewing observed windows, monitor geometry, and useful desktop regions.
  • Inspecting captured map revisions over time.
  • Working with anchors that can help Flow Canvas target a remembered place or window on the desktop.
  • Opening a guided Flow Canvas capture that refreshes the map.

Desktop Map does not invent desktop structure. It shows information collected from supported desktop observations and Flow Canvas capture steps.

Collect desktop map

The Desktop Map workspace includes a Collect desktop map path that opens Flow Canvas with a ready-made flow:

  1. Manual Trigger.
  2. Desktop Snapshot.
  3. Capture Screenshot.
  4. Refresh Desktop Map.

Run that flow with a linked desktop to collect current observations and refresh the map.

Anchors and verification

Anchors are remembered desktop targets such as windows, controls, or useful screen regions. Flow Canvas can capture and use anchors, and the Desktop Map can show anchor information when it has been collected.

Verification still depends on the linked desktop. If the desktop is offline, stale, or does not support the required check, verification may not complete.
